Hudson Fellowship Day 16

Kaaterskill Boulder with Falls (work in progress)
9 x 12 inches
oil on panel

I spent the day at the Kaaterskill lower falls again and worked more on the above painting that I started yesterday. It wasn't raining, so it was a much easier day! I also began another painting below:

Kaaterskill Boulder and Pool
(work in progress)
9 x 12 inches
oil on panel

Having fun, planning on working on both more tomorrow. Now, sleep....

Wow, these are wonderful! I love the transparency of the water in #2, and it's very cool how far you took #1 in such a short time. Rocks = another still life, just a really big one, right? :-D

Sadie, just love how you are developing these rocks... it makes me want to paint them too and we've got plenty of them here in scotland. great work!

Spatuala, you are right, it's all just still life! :)

Thanks Rahina, I definitely recommend rocks, they have interesting forms and colors and as an added bonus they stay very, very still!
