Hudson River Fellowship

I've been accepted to this year's Hudson River Fellowship, 4 weeks studying landscape painting with Jacob Collins! So I'll be spending this July in upstate New York, trekking my pochade box around the Catskills.

Four weeks with Collins, isn't that referred to as heaven on earth? I hope you post as much as you can during that time.

Getting back to my old 'hood! So jealous. What town is the HRF based out of? And I assume they'll take you guys on a field trip to" REL="nofollow">Olana.

Thank you everyone!

I don't know many details yet, but I've gathered our home base will be near the towns of Hunter and Wyndham. Olana looks to be about an hour away so I imagine we will visit, but I don't know. Looks amazing, I hope we do!

I also don't know if I'll have internet connection, but if I do I'll be posting my work there as much as I can. In any event I'll do a full writeup of my experience after I return.

Thanks so much everyone! I'm really excited!

congrats, it's a fantastic opportunity. I did it last year and it was a wonderful experience. You'll learn a lot from the other talented artist there as well as from Jacob. (if you haven't already, check out his show at Pence)
